Asian Road Racing Championship rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah is confident of extending his winning streak at the Motegi Circuit in Japan next week.
ASIAN Road Racing Championship (ARRC) rider Hafizh Syahrin Abdullah is highly confident in maintaining his winning form in this season’s third race at Motegi Circuit, Japan, next week.
The JDT Racing Team rider said that preparations were on track with focus given to training programmes and evaluating the new Ducati machine that was tested in Italy recently.
“The tests conducted were very positive. There are a few things that can be improved electronically, but overall the new machine handles better than the old motorcycle,” he told reporters recently, adding that he had no problems adapting to the Ducati V4R as he has had previous experience with the model, even though there were drastic changes in terms of engine performance, transmission and electronics systems.
Hafizh, the current ASB1000 category overall race leader with 100 points after two races, also expressed his determination to extend his winning streak at Motegi even though he faces challenges from several Japanese wildcard riders.
He also described his selection to represent Asia at the World Ducati Week in Misano, Italy as a great achknowledgement in his racing career and was looking forward to racing with famous Ducati racers, including Marc Marquez and Francesco Bagnaia.
“It’s a great honour. I will try to do my best and bring glory to Malaysia,” he added.
