PETALING JAYA: iCents Group Holdings Bhd’s wholly owned subsidiary, VC Engineering Sdn Bhd, has secured a contract worth about RM6.95 million from an Indonesia-based construction company to undertake the supply and delivery of data centre products in Indonesia.
The agreement, which took effect on June 17, is expected to contribute positively to the group’s earnings from the financial year ending June 30, 2026 onwards until the completion of the project.
iCents Group managing director Vincent Ong Mum Fei said the contract represents another important milestone in strengthening presence within Southeast Asia’s fast-growing data centre industry.
“Indonesia is one of the region’s most promising digital infrastructure markets, and this award reflects our growing capabilities in delivering specialised products and solutions for mission-critical facilities.
“As artificial intelligence (AI) adoption, cloud computing and digitalisation continue to accelerate across the region, we remain committed to supporting the evolving requirements of data centre operators with high-quality engineering solutions,” he said.
iCents Group specialises in the design, engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, qualification and validation of cleanrooms, and the manufacture of cleanroom fixtures and related products.
Commenting further on the deal, executive director Foo Siang Leng said the contract strengthens the group’s regional project portfolio and demonstrates the confidence customers have in its technical capabilities and execution track record.
“We will continue to focus on delivering the project efficiently while pursuing additional opportunities arising from the increasing investments in digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.”
The contract builds on iCents’ growing momentum in the regional data centre sector.
Earlier this month, VC Engineering entered into a strategic collaboration with China’s Wuxi Yiding Zhizao Technology Co Ltd to jointly develop, market and deliver prefabricated modular cooling systems and thermal management solutions for data centre infrastructure projects across Southeast Asia.
The group also recently celebrated the official launch of Maytech Cleanroom Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Mantin, Negeri Sembilan, strengthening its cleanroom manufacturing capabilities through a strategic investment of approximately RM15 million to support growing demand from data centres, semiconductors, pharmaceuticals and other high-specification industries.
Looking ahead, iCents remains optimistic about the long-term outlook of the regional digital infrastructure market, underpinned by rising AI adoption, cloud computing and continued investments in hyperscale data centres.
Backed by its expanding regional presence, specialised engineering expertise and strengthened manufacturing capabilities, the group is well-positioned to capture further opportunities across Southeast Asia while delivering sustainable value to its stakeholders.
