Grammy-winning rocker unveils Dollar Bill as first taste of seventh studio album
Rock icon Jack White is set to usher in a new era of music with the announcement of his seventh studio album, Frozen Charlotte, arriving on July 10 via Third Man Records.
Leading the album rollout is the newly released single Dollar Bill, which offers fans their first glimpse into White’s latest project. The track is now available on streaming platforms and serves as the opening chapter of what promises to be another ambitious release from the Grammy Award-winning musician.
New era teased through Release Lab
Ahead of the official announcement, White quietly teased Frozen Charlotte through Third Man Records’ new Release Lab series, a free online programme that takes viewers behind the scenes of the album release process.
Fans who tuned in were treated to a series of clues, including glitching visuals, references to the mysterious Frozen Charlatan character and a brief preview of Dollar Bill. The campaign offered an unconventional introduction to the album while showcasing the label’s creative approach to engaging audiences.
Building on recent momentum
The announcement follows the release of two new tracks earlier this year, Derecho Demonico and G.O.D. and the Broken Ribs. White and his band debuted both songs during his sixth appearance on Saturday Night Live, delivering high-energy performances that reignited excitement among fans.
Produced by White himself, the songs mark his first new material since 2024’s No Name. The album received widespread critical acclaim and earned a nomination for Best Rock Album at the 2025 Grammy Awards.
Vinyl collectors have plenty to look forward to
In addition to standard black vinyl, CD and cassette formats, Frozen Charlotte will also be available in three limited-edition vinyl variants. These include the “Zug Island Blue” edition exclusive to Third Man Records, the “Chrome” variant available through White’s tour and online store, and the “Ice Blue” version offered at independent record shops.
With Dollar Bill now out in the wild and Frozen Charlotte arriving next month, White once again demonstrates his ability to blend musical experimentation with inventive storytelling, giving fans plenty to anticipate as the album’s release approaches.
