In this new Disney+ series, when a hardworking plastic surgeon is assigned to a remote Korean island as part of his military service, fate will connect him with the one person who can keep him sane.

Despite hoping to avoid an island posting due to past trauma, Do Ji-ui is assigned to work in the remote island village of Pyeongdong-do, an island avoided by every public health doctor.

In Pyeongdong-do, he encounters Yook Ha-ri, a nurse from the local public health branch. Serving as Pyeongdong-do’s public health doctor, Do Jiu-ui helps the villagers and discovers compassion through their stories in the new Korean romantic drama released June 1 on Disney+.

Based on Carley Fortune’s bestselling novel Every Summer After, the series is a romantic, nostalgic story of first loves, and the people and choices that mark us forever.

The series will star Sadie Soverall from Saltburn and Matt Cornett from High School Musical: The Musical: The Series.

The young adult novel that the series is based on spent 16 weeks on the New York Bestseller list, has already sold one million copies to date and continues to gain further popularity through BookTok with the book hashtag receiving over 81.4 million views on TikTok alone, an astonishing number.

Exclusively on the Prime Video platform, the eight-episode season will premier all episodes on June 10 in more than 240 countries.
