Rings of Power returns as Sauron moves closer to forging the One Ring
PRIME Video has confirmed the third season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will premiere on Nov 11.
The announcement was made during Amazon’s annual Upfront presentation. The first two seasons are currently available on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories.

Set thousands of years before the events of J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, the series explores the Second Age of Middle-earth, a period marked by the forging of great powers, the rise and fall of kingdoms and the return of Sauron.
Season three will take place several years after the events of season two. It is set during the War of the Elves and Sauron, as Sauron moves closer to creating the One Ring, the weapon he believes will allow him to win the war and rule Middle-earth.
The series has drawn a large global audience for Prime Video, with Amazon stating it has attracted more than 185 million viewers worldwide. Season one remains the platform’s biggest TV series premiere by viewers within its 91-day post-premiere launch window, while season two ranks among its top five most-watched returning seasons.
Season two also debuted as the number one original series on Nielsen’s Streaming Top 10 chart and remained in the top four throughout its run.
The third season is produced by showrunners and executive producers J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay. Executive producers include Lindsey Weber, Justin Doble, Kate Hazell and Charlotte Brandstrom, who also directs.
Matthew Penry-Davey serves as producer, while Ally O’Leary, Tim Keene and Andrew Lee are co-producers. The series is produced by Amazon MGM Studios
