Woman finds fly eggs in fish head at TTDI Jaya restaurant netizens react with disgust, health concerns and advice on food safety
A woman was left shocked after allegedly discovering fly eggs inside the head of a fish she had just eaten.
Sharing her experience on Threads, she wrote: “I had already finished eating before I realised there were so many fly eggs inside the fish head,” alongside photos of the fish head.
She added that she had eaten most of the fish before noticing the issue.
In the comments section, she admitted feeling traumatised by the experience and said she was now reluctant to dine at the same restaurant again.
She described that she had not noticed the eggs while eating because she was hungry and expressed concern about potentially suffering from food poisoning.
The incident sparked strong reactions from netizens, with many expressing disgust while others raised concerns about her health and wellbeing.
Some users advised her to lodge a complaint against the restaurant or consider taking legal action if she later became unwell.
Another commenter suggested keeping charcoal pills on hand in case of food poisoning symptoms developing.
During her exchanges with other users, the woman later clarified that the restaurant was located in TTDI Jaya and not in Seksyen U1, Glenmarie, as initially believed.
She also said it was her first time dining there.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, some users responded with humour, joking that she might soon transform into “Lalatwoman”.
