A man shared video footage of the lizard on Threads, showing it struggling to move with the coconut still lodged over its head.
“How did the coconut get onto a lizard’s head?” he asked, later explaining that he was afraid to rescue the animal, fearing it might bite him.
Netizens were equally puzzled. “I thought it was a new species of animal because I didn’t read the caption,” one user wrote, while another jokingly said it looked like an alien.
Many social media users expressed sympathy for the lizard, while others found the situation humorous, still wondering how it had ended up like that.
