Grammy-winning singer-songwriter brings Asia Tour 2026 to Bukit Jalil this October

Malaysian fans of feel-good anthems and acoustic pop have something to look forward to, as Jason Mraz is finally returning to Kuala Lumpur after seven years.

The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter is set to perform at the National Hockey Stadium in Bukit Jalil on Oct 31 as part of the Jason Mraz Asia Tour 2026 Live in Kuala Lumpur, organised by Zues Event.

Best known for his diamond-certified hit I’m Yours, which has amassed more than two billion streams worldwide, Mraz has spent more than two decades building a career defined by uplifting lyrics, infectious melodies, and a genre-blending sound that incorporates elements of folk, reggae, R&B, and disco.

For many fans, his music formed the soundtrack to the late 2000s and early 2010s, with songs such as I Won’t Give Up, Lucky featuring Colbie Caillat, Have It All, I Feel Like Dancing and The Remedy (I Won’t Worry) becoming staples on playlists, radio stations and sing-alongs around the world.

Long before selling out concert venues and collecting Grammy Awards, Mraz began his career performing as a busker and coffeehouse musician. Those humble beginnings eventually led to a record deal and a discography that now spans nine studio albums, several of which achieved platinum and multi-platinum status.

Outside of music, the American singer has also explored other creative pursuits. He appeared in the lead role of Sara Bareilles’s Broadway musical Waitress, served as executive producer of the documentary The Opener and finished as runner-up on Season 32 of Dancing with the Stars.

Beyond entertainment, Mraz is also known for his philanthropic efforts. Through the Jason Mraz Foundation, he supports initiatives focused on inclusive arts education and equality. In 2020, he donated all profits from his album Look for the Good to organisations working towards social justice and equal opportunities.

According to the director of Zues Event Jeffery Chin, Mraz’s return offers a different concert experience for local audiences.

“We are continuing the momentum from our recent K-pop concert with a different kind of connection and energy. Many Malaysians grew up listening to Jason Mraz and his music carries positivity, emotion and authenticity that still resonates strongly today,” he said.

Chin added that the concert is expected to attract longtime fans and music lovers seeking a memorable live performance experience.

With his signature fedora and acoustic guitar in hand, Mraz is expected to perform a mix of fan favourites and newer material, turning the stadium into a massive sing-along filled with nostalgia and feel-good energy.

Tickets go on sale on June 11 at 10.50am via etix.my. Prices range from RM158 for the Signature (Restricted View) category to RM688 for Jazzy seats. Other categories include Nostalgic (RM288), Originals (RM388), Soulful (RM488) and Acoustic (RM588). All ticket categories are seated.

For fans who have spent years waiting to hear I’m Yours and Lucky performed live once again, Oct 31 may prove well worth the wait.
