KTMB updates KTM Komuter Klang Valley timetable for the Pulau Sebang-Batu Caves route, with revised schedules from April 27 and May 1.

KUALA LUMPUR: Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) will introduce improvements to the KTM Komuter Klang Valley service schedule for the Pulau Sebang–Batu Caves–Pulau Sebang route.

In a statement today, KTMB said the revised weekday timetable will take effect tomorrow (April 27), while the updated weekend and public holiday schedule will be implemented from May 1.

The adjustments follow a reassessment of the new timetable introduced on April 18 in conjunction with the ongoing Klang Valley Double Track Phase 2 (KVDT2) upgrading works.

“This updated timetable has been developed based on passenger travel patterns, particularly during peak hours, to ensure it is more practical and user-friendly. It will help commuters better plan their daily journeys during the implementation of the KVDT2 project,” the statement said.

The KVDT2 project involves the temporary closure of one track along a 67-kilometre stretch between Seremban and Salak Selatan to facilitate infrastructure upgrades safely and efficiently.

During this period, train operations on the affected route will run on a single track, which must be shared by KTM Komuter services and the Electric Train Service (ETS).

KTMB added that the nightly full closure of the track from 9.30 pm to 5.30 am for upgrade works has also required several ETS services to be rescheduled to evening slots to ensure both services continue operating smoothly.

The latest timetable adjustments involve only changes to train operating hours, while maintaining the existing five weekday peak-hour services in the morning and evening.

Passengers are advised to plan their journeys and check the latest schedules via the KITS Style app’s MyRailtime feature. They can also stay updated through station announcements or contact the KTMB Call Centre at 03-9779 1200 for further information.
