Watsons Malaysia names Datuk Dr Fadhlullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek as non-executive chairman, effective May 15.

WATSONS Malaysia has announced the appointment of Datuk Dr Fadhlullah Suhaimi Abdul Malek as its Non-Executive Chairman, effective May 15.

Fadhlullah brings more than three decades of leadership experience spanning healthcare, telecommunications and national policy.

He previously served as Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission’s (MCMC) Executive Chairman, where he led regulatory and digital infrastructure development efforts and also held senior leadership roles at Telekom Malaysia.

His experience further includes driving national transformation initiatives at Malaysia’s Prime Minister’s Office and advising governments internationally.

Commenting on the appointment, Watsons Malaysia and COO Health & Beauty Asia Managing Director Caryn Loh said Fadhlullah’s appointment reflects Watson’s continued commitment to strong governance and strategic leadership.

“The Board of Directors, management and colleagues across Watsons Malaysia welcome Fadhlullah to Watsons Malaysia.

“With his extensive experience across healthcare, regulatory institutions and national transformation, we are confident he will provide valuable guidance as we accelerate our next phase of sustainable growth,” she said.

Fadhlullah currently serves on multiple boards across the healthcare, telecommunications, education and financial services sectors, and is the Chairman of the Board of Governors of Perdana University.

He holds qualifications in medicine and public health, as well as a master’s degree in health management. He has also completed executive programmes at INSEAD and the University of Strathclyde.
