A property listing near TTDI with a ‘waterfall view’ during heavy rain raises online concerns about drainage and slope safety.

A PROPERTY listing near Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) has triggered discussion online after a real estate agent promoted a unit as having a “waterfall view”, a feature that some netizens say may be more concerning than attractive.

The discussion began after Threads user @hanahdbee shared a video showing water rushing down a hillside beside the property during heavy rain.

The footage quickly attracted attention, with many users questioning whether the cascading water was a natural feature or simply rainwater runoff.

According to the post, the property is located about eight minutes from TTDI. The user said she visited the unit during a downpour.

“I went to view one of the owner’s units yesterday during heavy rain. The living hall had a view of a waterfall,” she wrote.

She added that the owner was selling the 1,200 sq ft unit, which comes with four bedrooms and two bathrooms, for RM860,000.

However, several netizens expressed concern over what they described as unusually strong water flow, suggesting it could indicate underlying drainage issues or slope instability.

Many pointed out that there was no visible river or natural water source feeding the flow, leading to speculation that it was likely rainwater runoff channelled down the slope into a drainage system below.

Some users also questioned whether the feature should be marketed as a selling point, warning that potential buyers may instead see it as a risk factor affecting long-term value.

User thearties.on.the.go suggested the issue could impact the property’s resale value.

“Probably the price will be reduced soon? That’s an additional risk added,” the user commented.

Another user, mk_hze, urged caution, warning that the water flow could indicate a more serious problem.

“That maybe is not a waterfall. That is a sign of a flash flood or landslide coming soon,” the user wrote.

Others expressed concern over soil stability in the area, with one commenter saying they would avoid the property due to possible risks.

Another user called for authorities to inspect the site, while noting potential safety concerns.

Authorities have yet to issue any statement on the matter.
